Old Farm Flat
Set down a quiet farm track on the Romney Marsh in Kent, beside the iconic Fairfield Church — Old Farm is a three-storey self-catering annexe with exposed beams, low ceilings, and the kind of character you can't manufacture. For couples and solo travellers who need an atmospheric, unhurried place to land, with Rye, Camber Sands, and the wild Kent coast all within easy reach.
Layout
Old Farm is arranged across three floors:
Ground floor: Country-style kitchen with dining table, bathroom, and access to the garden
First floor: Spacious living room with electric fire and rural views across the Marsh
Top floor: Light-filled double bedroom with sloped ceiling and original beams
Old Farm Flat has its own garden area with outdoor seating, looking out over open fields across the Romney Marsh — a quiet spot for morning coffee or an evening drink after a day on the Kent coast.
The annexe has its own private entrance and feels self-contained, though it is attached to the farmhouse.
The space
The Romney Marsh stretches out beyond the windows: big skies, grazing sheep, and a landscape that hasn't changed much in centuries. Once a haven for smugglers, the Marsh is dotted with medieval churches and quiet pathways. Today it's one of the most important lowland grazing marshes in the UK — rich in rare wetland birds, marsh orchids, and wildlife that rewards anyone who takes the time to explore it.
It's a peaceful, atmospheric spot — equally good for a long weekend or a stay of several weeks.
