Our two lakes at Fishermans Lodge are available for fishing year round and are stocked with Common and Mirror Carp (up to 36lb.), Roach, Rudd, Tench, Perch, Bream and Gudgeon.
We operate a catch and return policy. The fishing lakes are open year round but do not have any aeration equipment or similar installed so on very rare occasions when we have prolonged cold weather they may freeze over.

Free Fishing
There is normally a charge for Fishing but free fishing is sometimes available for residents (see Price List).
Fishing after your Holiday
During the 12 months after your holiday, with the exception of weekends and bank-holidays, you are entitled to fish in our waters. Permit price is the normal daily rate and is subject to availability.
Day Fishing
We don’t offer day fishing. If you would like to come and fish you must be staying in our accommodation or have stayed with us in the past year,
Kit and Bait
We don’t supply any kit or bait. If you wish to purchase bait or any equipment you can try Tackle & Gun in Tenterden or Angling Direct in Ashford.
How far are the lakes from the lodges?
The lodges are about 10m/30ft from the water. We don’t reserve swims but there are plenty around both lakes.
